modelling clay buttons

I decided to try something different and I pulled out an old threads magazine ( it was feb/march 1992 ) and on the cover there were beautiful coloured clay beads.
I knew I had some modelling clay somewhere, found it and followed the directions to get myself started with a simple milleflori technique .
Here's the result.
